Hi there
I have a std 1098cc motor all thats been done is
it has a set of extactors and a 1 1/2" su. I have put in a
red spring and BQ needle that vizard recommended in tuning the a-series
i took it to a dyno and it was really lean all through the rev range.
we had to file the needle right down to get the afr down to 15:1 at cruise. its still not right.
has this happen to anyone else?
what needle do u guys recommend, or do i go to a 1 3/4" su ?

thanks

Hi try this site for SU needles http://www.teglerizer.com/suneedledb/index.html
I used exel to draw graphs of various needle dimensions.
Use your modified BQ needle as a reference, enters some of its dimensions and see if there is another needle profile close to that.

After selecting possible needles on the site pinkyandnobrain suggests, enter the letter codes on this site and save the effort of typing lots of numbers into excel

And any website called 'Minty SU Needle Compare-o-rama' has got to be good!!

14.914 sec 1/4 mile @ 91.38mph, NA 1293cc on 1.1/2" SU's (all steel and glass shell)
