I've used up to 10 Ton hiab lorry for moving 2 tonne machines. Depends what reach you need.

If you type "Road Haulage Services" & "Leeds" in yell.com, you get a couple in your area that have Hiab equipped vehicles. Saul Bellow - "A great deal of intelligence can be invested in ignorance when the need for illusion is deep."

Looks like i'm sorted, it's always nicer to deal with folk you know and don't want to rip you off as the last time i asked a machine mover for a price they wanted £1000 plus vat, to bring 5 tons up from 230 miles away, and that was going to be using a wagon that thet would be down there on business already, good business if you can get it,lol |

I must have been very lucky - I got local machinery movers to transfer my lathe and mill from my old garage to my new workshop (only about 2 miles) for £100 plus a nice drink for the two lads who did it on a Saturday morning. |

I hope this machine is going to make some lightweight mini parts at economical prices. Saul Bellow - "A great deal of intelligence can be invested in ignorance when the need for illusion is deep."
