You CAN fit a dump valve, but you'll lose boost through it. Not clever.
My friend has a Golf G60, and she had a dump valve on it, and lost about 2psi through it. Couldn't hear it either.

No idea, never seen one. :$ my friends was placed on the boost pipe going into the inlet manifold - possibly the wrong place?

as this is a suck through system, you would not be dumping just air, but and air and fuel mixture, I don't think this would be a good idea, as you could easily get an engine bay fire, why not speak to Stuart Gurr

Yeah, doesnt sound like a very good idea! On a G60 the fuel isnt added until the manifold..

Why bother anyway, like i said, you can't hear it anyway. Stick a turbo on if you want a D/V, and i'm sure it'd cost you less, too.

bypass valve ring any bells?apparently theres different types, one bypasses the unwanted boost back into the charger, the other into the atmosphere.pretty vague, anyone know more about them and what exactly they do???

thanks

i beleive theres 3 different types of super charger, on one of these you can use a dumpvalve, but im almost positive its not the MINI one that stuart uses

Blow off valve with a suck through set up is a good idea. A shorrock can go off like a grenade, I heard. It can also damage the supercharger (a backfire). If it's set up properly, it won't need one. But better than buying a new blower. Blow through is different, significantly less stuff to go bang.

Edit*tongue*robably not necessary with a rootes blower like the Vmax kit. The blower is pretty bomb proof. With a vane blower, I think you could "blow vanes off". Is it significant enough to blow a gasket? Is the main question with the Bini Blower. I expect not.

Bugger off, I'm getting there.
