Hi,

I have been thinking of putting an "A" series turbo in my mini for some time now. I've been recommended to this site from Miniworld on advice etc as most of you probably have a turbo mini and know the things to look for such as, recommended boost settings, modifications and stuff like that and most importantly the benifits and the weaknesses.
Also your all also probably aware of the rarity of these engines so if you here of one knocking about let me know!

Cheers.

The best advice is probably not to start by trying to use an old Metro Turbo engine.

Most are knackered by now. Any decent 1275 A Plus engine can be turboed. But you should plan for a rebuild whatever.

Read in the beginers section 'metro turbo engine myths' this should give you a good ida of why you don't need to buy a metro turbo engine.

Cool I'll check it out, yeah i was thinking of getting a 1275 anyway, its just the case of considering the combustion chamber sizes to reduce the compression ratio to suit the turbo? Many of you use the T3? I've heard of saab 9-3 turbos bolted on these engines aswel!
