Hi all,

Just getting some ideas together for my engine rebuild, and wondered if anyone could recommend a really good short motor for my turbo?

Cylinder head is 35.7 x 32, and would like forged pistons that will provide good Comp. Ratio (Seen 15cc in Avonbar kits)

Any advice chaps? *wink*

Any advice on parts to use would be great...I'm not clued up on turbo engines at all...Price seems to be my only grounds for parts selection at the moment!

I'm after building a fast road engine, so she can't be too lumpy!
A good 0-60 is essential needless to say! *happy*

if cost is your major concern keep it standard
except for a phase 2 cam.

Well, I'm planning to run a Vmax Scart 'Monster' spec head, 1293cc, forged pistons, etc etc, running a SC CR 'box.

I just wondered if anyone rated a particular company for turbo short motors? *wink*

Cheers for the tip off. I've seen a few adverts in the Miniworld magazine, but I have never thought to check them out.

Just gonna check out their website....*wink*

i think the monster head would be too undrivable for normal road use, you'd be much better off going for a vmax head that a little bit less severe. also you wont need forged pistons, turbo cast pistons should keep you happy.

vmax did my engine, they were great and the prices were good too

keep it fairly mild, lower the CR a bit and make sure its built well. a good 120/130 would be a nice road motor and still very quick in a light mini

ring up and discuss things wth a few builders, they will guide you in the right directions
