i wouldnt bother, if you do get carb icing then simply spend £5 on some 8mm copper fuel line and wrap it round the manifold next to the carb then plumb that into the cooling system, job done.

It seems to be a fundamental design flaw with thes SC setup, an anti-icing solution appears to be needed in most cases.

In Norway, most cars were fitted with a carb heater. I always bin them, but that might be beneficial?

My old college tutor ran a Beetle with suck through T3 and ran a small hose into the choke blowing warm air from the heater - easy, and it can be switched off when more power is required like track days I seriously doubt it! |

as far as im aware the main reason you get carb icing on these installs is because the carbs so far away from the cylinder head that it doesent get any real heat put into it, the fact that your geting the air from the coldest place available doesent help maters but it dont think its the main/only reason.
