As long as there not really bad should be ok, all the turbos I have used t2 and t3 have had cracks. I had one that did cause boost spiking but that was majorly cracked! Try it and see if it causes a problem repair your other one and use that. |

not entirely related, but my audi dailly uses a KKK borg warner turbo, and I've NEVER seen one that's not got cracks in the exhaust housing.....

Pictures would help. But I've never seen a T2 without crackd around the wastegate. Fastest 998 mini in the world? 13.05 1/4 mile 106mph

the design shows a distinct lack of imagination, talk about starting off with a clean sheet of paper, then not bothering to fucking draw on it,lol On 20th Apr, 2012 Paul S said:
I'm mainly concerned about swirl in the runners caused by the tangential entry. |

ive taken my turbo to pieces thismorning, had to give it a beating, and cook it with a heat gun. ive striped my spare turbo, as the housing was good on that.

just removed my exhaust elbow, then waste gate part, only to find atleast 2 long cracks on the tubing exhaust housing. one crack runs from the waste gate hole, round into the exhaust turbine itself. the other runs from the waste gate hole too. i swear if i look into the hole the crack runs on towards the big rectangle mounting flange.
