does make me laugh that people think it is ok to just cut the roof off a car and bolt a f-g panel back in place!! that said, a mini is actually pretty strong...... i have personally cut the roof off a mini that was terminally rusty (ie very little in the way of floor or sills) and driven it around (only my drive) for ages and it stayed very together, it didnt fall apart, never had a problem with the doors closing or opening.... im not suggesting for one second that it is ok to do on a road car, but even the worst minis arent as flimsy as people make out!!!
And on the 7th day........... God created turbochargers! |

i thought the banham roadster had a comprehensive stell frame to retain shell strength once roof was removed.
