hi guys..

once again i need your advice.. im about to fit my intercooler, but dont know which diameter pipe to use... the intercoolers outlets are 35mm(inside diameter), so i was thinking of using this diameter for the whole setup.. as the plenum has also got a 38mm inside diameter i dont see how this can be bad, plus the thiner pipes will be easier to route. the only worry i have is, wont it restrict my engine a bit? looking for susgestions and ideas...

thanks in advance

Most people use 2"

Stainless is very heavy, alloy is much lighter.

Most people use 51mm, but I was considering using smaller hoses as the turbine outlet is is around 40mm.

But the IC is 50mm and it's an industry standard so getting secondhand hoses in this size is easier and cheaper.

will h, that exactly why im so unsure what pipe to use... before i got the intercooler i was deadset on 50mm, but seeing as the intercooler outlets are 35 and the plenum is 38mm i dont see the point, as i will have to use reducers in both ends, so rather keep it all the same...

vegard thanks for the link mate.. it put my mind at ease*wink*

thanks for the help everyone...

ps. will put pick ups when im done, pretty sure this intercooler has never been used on a mini before and think it will be quite popular....
