Ive tried parrafin, petrol and thinners, still slow going, its been caked on there for 3 years at least and its orrid

Scrape it with a stanley blade. It is hard to get off, that is probably why it works so well.

got the majority off with a scraper, just trying to clean up the residue, ill buy some new thinners as ive had mine so long its brown with rust! "Turbo's make torque, and torque makes fun"

whats wellseal? i've never heard of it SKYLINES ARE LIKE CLITS, EVERY FLANGE SEEMS TO HAVE ONE: see this sticker on my silvia

The best way to apply Wellseal is with a small brush I've found.

anyone any better chemical solutions?? last year when heading down to avon i had a tube in my toolbox incase i needed to do a quick head gasket bodge to get me home.. the tube decided to burst, have a whole box of tools that i cant use, stuffs a bloody nightmare, tried everything :( turbo 16v k-series 11.9@118.9 :)

I'm fairly sure its Xylene based, so try some of that, if you can get it, and if it isn't too toxic?!
