As some of you know I am a strong believer in Megasquirt & Edis. Since I have been out of the country there have been some changes to megasquirt that make it even better. The standard board can now do a 12x12 matrix for ignition and injection map and many other things, all extreamly good for the turbo motor.

Take a look at: http://megasquirt.sourceforge.net/extra/ for more details.

There are no excuses for using a dizzy any more.....

?339, (with a bit of bartering) That includes the full build with the VFD display, the stimulator, the ECU in a aluminium bulkhead box, looms, the EDIS, the coilpack, the crank wheel, crank sensor, throttle sensor and P&P. Think thats all.

The guy has already fitted these to turbo mini's, and can also supply all the parts to upgrade to an injection turbo which he's currently testing using a Jenvey throttle body with good results.

Found him on ebay, but give him a shout on john@cvnation.com, he's extreemly helpful and will ship the ECU pre programed to your engines specs too.

Assuming that it all works that sounds like not a bad price. I reckon the parts would add upto over ?150 and there is a fair bit of work to assemble and make a loom. I don't see the point of the stimulator if it is sold as built and working though.

I have just ordered 5 boards for various projects, so plenty to be getting on with.

i got the stimulator so i can mess with it while i'm still converting to turbo. Figure the the low cost of the stim that by the time its all fitted i should hit the floor running rather than the old 'Right, now its fitted, how do we use it' scenario!

The VFD display will give me live info when the incar pc is not on or booting, when the pc is on i get the full dials/info display on the dash touchscreen :)

That display sounds pretty smashin'. We are using palm Vx's for our dash, not great for everything, but the datalogging is brilliant and they only cost ?20 off ebay.

Sold the turbo and seeing what the C20XE can do!

Near Lincoln

Im just looking at an emerald system, with all the sensors apart from coil pack and crank sensor its ?600.
Im tempted to get this as its a set up and ready to use system. Still not sure but I want to get a system setup in the next few months on the 1380 so i can have a play before the turbo motor goes in.

it is a lot of money but i reckon its worth the cost. not really a lot when you consider how much everything else works out to be....

end of the day if it saves a set of pistons then its worth the cash.

im am tempted to experiment but its also good to cut all that out as im trying to get done as quick as possible.

half a dozen of one and 6 of the other as they say! *happy*
