Popped over to the rollers this morning with kean (T2clubby) to give mine a run up and see what this new GT20 is doing and to see if we could find his missing 50hp from the northampton rolling road day.

Was running 20psi, a conservative 18degree's advance and intake temps were around 25/30c, afr was about 12.3.

I'm quite pleased the bottom end held up tbh, still on my old cast AE pistons that have been in there for years now. it's starting to breath heavily so they're next on the list along with some crank/rod mods to allow me to rev it higher and make proper use of the turbo.

I'll let kean post his own results.

Big power mate, but as Denis says looks like a fair amount of lag with the GT20.. hows it behave on the road?

lovely on the road, i can't fault it tbh. doesn't feel anywhere as laggy as my old T3 did.

But it's not really for the road now so i can afford to have it all higher up the revs. Will get it down to pod soon and see how she goes.

Good numbers there NIck, but as said seems to be quite high up the range. How far dare you take it??

limiters at 6800 so think it kicks in 200 earlier on the jolt doesn't it? not going to touch the limiter for now, i'll see how it goes on the 1/4 first.

If only there was a way to run that compressor without the lag *happy*

Good results Nick.

To get nearly 200hp from 20 psi is top notch.

Just odd that the torque curve is so peaky. Does the boost build gradually and only get to 20 psi right at the top end?

the boost starts to build gradually then comes in pretty quickly once its going. on the rollers it was showing 15psi off the actuator so i was sat in the car opening the bleed valve to get the boost up. i'm guessing it was at 20psi for the last 1000rpm or so, was too busy looking at the boost/afr to watch the revs.

weird thing is it shows 17psi off the actuator on the road and a fair bit leaner on the afr too. whereas it was fine on the rollers.

Nice one. Would be good to see the boost profile to compare it to the GT17 ones we got from the RR day.

Well my curves are nowhere as smooth as Nicks (oo err missus!) but I finally got the numbers it should have made at the rolling road shoot out last year.

First run on low boost, about 10-12 psi

Second run low then high 20psi, nasty flat spot in the middle.

Not quite the power of Nick, but lots more curly wurlys.

Its coming out for a major overhaul soon, so it was nice to give it a good blast on the current spec.

Both look good, t2clubby have you changed anything since the NM RR day?

Not really, just the way the boost came in on the run, at the shootout they tried 20psi from very low down and it surged its ass off. This time I started on low and switched it manually, I used to let the ecu do the same.
