Hello TM.

I´ve been a member a couple of weeks now, so it is about time i introduce my self.
So. Where do i begin.... In the early 90ies i buildt some N/A 1098cc for rally purpose. Why 1098cc? Well the car was borne that way and due to wonderfull Danish tax regulations the car has to stay that way or you have to pay a new tax all over again. In Denmark, when you buy a new car you pay for 3. 1 to the autodealer and 2 to the tax man. So. If i fit a 1275cc engine in a 1098cc car i have to pay for 2 cars to the tax man. AGAIN.
Did i mention i am from Denmark!!!
I allso did it because everybody said it wouldn´t work. Silly motivation perhaps, but if it can´t be done, it is only because no one has found a way. Yet.
Now i have been planning a mini turbo project for 7 or 8 years now. God im slow. Well, new house and other cars came in the way, so..
I have collected a lot of parts thou. My plan was to build a 998cc turbo. Max power output to be 117bhp. (94bhp + 25%. Silly Danish MOT regulations) I will use a12g295 head. I have good experience with that. I am aiming for 8:1 CR and around 1 bar charge pressure(14,7 psi for all of you driving in the left (read wrong) side of the road. :) I have spend a lot of time reading about turbo cams. I sometimes think, way to much time. My plan is to go with a Kent MD274. Fit it with a charge cooler and waterinjection. I have found out how to read a compressor map, so i think i will go for a Garrett T15 as it comes of a Volkswagen T4 and others and is availeble at every scrapyard.
Jesus. I write a lot. You might think that im a school teacher..... AAArhh.

I hope to take part in the forum in the future and that we can help eachother at the same time.
Best regards
TurboTom
P.S.
I´ve found out that the search button is my friend.

If i have more toys than you when i die, I WIN

Welcome, you seem to have it well thought through.

Shame about yout MOT rules, I don't suppose it will be too long before we get all these restrictions too.

And 1 bar is fine by me - some of us over here do prefer to work in metric units :)
