Hi

Went to the first "Drift What Ya Brung" of the year yesterday at Santa Pod.

Went on a Drift experience day, it was a christmas present from mum and dad *happy*

Loved every minute, first drifting I've ever done. The car I mainly drove was a Nissan Cefiro, which is a Jap import 4 door saloon with skyline running gear, RB20 turbo engine.

Here is a couple of vids of me, I'm uploading a few more to YouTube but its taking ages
*oh well*

that was awesome drifting for first time, i'm looking into getting a td sierra then fitting a slip diff from a cozzy, because a real cozzy for a 19 yro me is a hell of alot to insure

i wouldnt have thought drifting a td sierra would be all that great tbh, get a volvo 240 glt for £100 and just weld the diff up

solid diff is going to be a bit much, i will be using it as a everyday car so i dont want to be going sideways round every corner i'll get told off.
i drive a m reg astra 1.7td atm, the thing is awesome in 5th it'll will pull clearly over 2 bar, it is a quick car but also returning good mpg if driven easy being a diesel and i can run it on veg aswell which makes it even cheaper
plus a 240 is huge although it would be fun

I owned a 1.8td sierra - I cant see it being used as a drift car due to its complete lack of power.

The only times I managed to get it sideways was on ice!

sure is the isuzi engine, i havent heard a bad word about them yet, have you had a bad experience?

sumpnut, i have been told the sierra should pull higher figures then my astra and that spins the wheels in third, it'll just be my learn to drift car

Get a bled valave and a boost gauge. Very easy to get more power out of one of these!

If you want to learn to drift get an old 320i beemer or something. If it must be a sierra get a 2.0l

The 1.8td sierra's are crap.

Agreed, the 3 series beemers are quite tail happy. it's also very easy to get my 240 sideways, would be awesome with a decent diff in there.

plus a 240 is huge although it would be fun

i have one forsale very cheap :) PM if your interested?

i aint on migweb the guy i brought the car off is, he also fitted a boost gauge and bleed, it is really good car, there is still aload more to come out of it, i might drop the lump in a corsa as the sierra ideas isnt sounding good, the fella i brought the car off has now got a 6pot 320 e36 bm, that think is awesome, the thing drifts nicely even with a open diff, they are a bit much to insure though for a 19 year old, plus shite on fuel
