After seeing the way my Gt20 pulls all the way up to 6500rpm with no signs of stopping i'm wondering if it's worth doing a few crank/rod mods to safely push it up towards 8k rpm to make full use of the turbo?

that got me thinking though, does the ph2 cam i'm currently using run out of steam before then? would it be better to switch to a ph3? keep the ph2 and fit 1.5 rockers maybe?

any opinions chaps?

Minivanless, but reluctantly happy living with the decision. There'll be another one day.

not familiar enough with the gt20, but generally speaking the larger and free-er flowing the turbine the more akin the tuning is to nat-asp than turbo. in terms of conventional wisdom :)

turbo 16v k-series 11.9@118.9 :)

Thinking out loud here, what about re-timing the phase 2 so it's retarded by about five degrees or so? Won't help the bottom end & idle but should up the rev range and let you see how the GT20 preforms at higher revs and if you don't like it you and put it back and it's not cost you a penny.
