Can anyone help me with the procedure of doing the float level?? -MINI CLUBMAN 1380 TURBO- |

turn the carb upside down , the float is now resting on the seat under its own weight, hold a ruler across the bottom face running throgh the center of the float where it is 'hollowed' -or front to back axis- , this is the level ,bend the brass tang to correct the hieght |

I thought it was ment to have a gap of 0.5mm? |

What should the measurment be when using this metod? It didn't say in my maual. On 13th Jul, 2012 Ben H said:

I am certain Haynes manual states 0.5mm, but i seem to have missplaced my metro one so I cant check..... |

Let's be honest guys - 0.5mm or touching - if it's either one of them, you're unlikely to have problems. If you do - it's unlikely to be the float level! On 17th Nov, 2014 Tom Fenton said:
