hi, iv just completed building the front running gear on my car

am running mini hubs, 1.5 degree neg camber bottom arms, adjustable heavy duty tie bars, hi lows, spax adjustable shocks and metro four pot vented brakes.

the hubs that i took the brakes off have the longer metro steering arms.

my car currently has the mini shorter arms.

is there any advantage of changing to the longer metro ones, or is that likely to ruin the handling?

basically what charicteristics would you see with mini vs metro steering arms? just wondering as i have either to chose from

thanks

I think you need to use the correct arms for the hubs, eg metty arms on metty hubs, and mini arms on mini hubs.

I'm pretty sure that using the wrong ones will introduce bump steer,

anyway that aside....

the longer arms will give less steering for a given steering wheel movement, kind of opposite to a quick rack
