Here is my 1979 1275 Clubman GT

Has been in the shop for a while

Current spec:

1293cc engine
Stage 3/4 head
1.5:1 roller tip rockers
SW10 Swifttune came and duplex chain kits
Weber 45
Illumintion (?I need to check) ignition
Am literally just about to install a Radtech radiator as the current one is shot.

Plans:

X-pin diff
S/c drop gears
Lighten the flyshaft
Sort out the crank and the pistons
Install the Megajolt kit I have.
Oil cooler

I am sure by then I'll know more about engines and something will change.
And then go Turbo :)

Just got back from Gerald Dale's where we whacked it onto the rolleres and sorted out the fuelling issues.
Extremely happy with
95.9 Bhp at the fly...
77.7 Bhp at the wheels

So thanks again Phil.

They are some very healthy figures. I've heard good things about Gerald Dale.

If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of.

I do like those wheels... they are certainly growing on me :)
However, I will be saving up for some split ones - I think the exacton ones..(?)

Anyway, the car is still being great.. although the dash has died.
I replaced the radiator and also swapped out the hoses for silicone ones whilst I was at it.

Next plans.. take off the bonnet and boot and strip them back and spray them 'properly' with rattle cans.

I have KAD rear arms, MiniSport ( ahem) hubs, lowered alloy front and back dampers, KAD tiebars, camber arms and mini fin rear drums. I need to get some hilos and possibly new donuts and some alloy front brakes.

Apart from that I'm not sure what to do...it will become a turbo eventually, but I just can't afford it right now.
I would like to try and hit the 100 mark, but I fear squeezing that last few horsies out will kill my bank account!

No not really... they were stuck on with electrical tape and screws when I bought her. One flew off on the motorway a couple of days ago, so I will be removing them.
I have miglia arches which need refurbing, but I am not going to put them on until I have something suitable to put underneath them :)

I thought the Mk4 ones had the clear reversing lens and the mk3 had the dark lens?

My 78 clubman had those lights. MK2 lights are all red apart from the indicator bits

Maybe I'm wrong but some mk2 and mk3 rear light are the same.

I've got a 1972 mk3 mini with half red and half orange rear light.
Thanks

Mk2 lights are visibly smaller. Mk 3 and MK 4 lights had the same backing but different lenses.

Either way the car looks good

MK2 and 3 are identical. MK4 however...
