So, I can't find MiniMag anywhere over here - I can occasionally get miniworld though, I've purchased it twice in the past three months...

So, is it just me being skeptical, or is it blatantly obvious that anyone on the editorial team (who have those running report/build features) blags almost every part, tool, polish, wiring, wheels, tyres, bolts, and whatever else free of charge - and proceeds to turn the report into a big advert for all the stuff they've blagged?

I've decided that I'll simply stand in the newsagents and read the articles that interest me instead of purchasing it from now on... Those things are plain stupid.

Oh, and who gives a crap if a middle-aged overweight guy who's mini is featured happens to be "single or hooked up"? WTF???

And WTF is that guy (the techical editor?) thinking, trying to pull a well-dented rear panel back straight with some 8mm blue nylon rope tied to his land rover??? WTdoubleF?

miniworld is gash, im not a fan! . . . usually go for mini mag :)

I didnt renew my subscription to either of them back last year.

Both have gone down hill and are very stale.

Having said that I expect I'll be paying them a fortune soon to advertise in their pages LOL

It is the problem with all magazines I am afraid. How many different angles can you take on the mini before repeating yourself. I only ever buy them if I or a friend is featured these days.

Even PPC, which was superb, is losing its way.

the people that have the running reports in miniworld are'nt true mini fans, karen drury now writes for volkswagon & camper mag & blags all the parts there too!

they have more freebees to do their cars/vans than i do underwear!

i've only 4 pairs of boxers & a man thong thats too big, shit said too much again ;OP

i'll be buying the march issue of minimag due to the turbominis in it other than that i'm extremely internittent buying minimags of any type due to what g13b said to much buisness!

there have gotta be a few good writers/enthusiasts out there!

Just to stand up for myself, I do have my Mini in minimag as part of the "our Minis" feature (Yellow Mini (Cdy)). I try to be fair and not blag too much for free. I do however try and get a discount when i can and even then only when i can. Im very luck to be in the position where i can mix my hobby with work, and if people what to give me stuff, Im not going to refuse!

Ive spent way too much on my mini and Id say only about 10% of stuff i get is FOC. But i know what you're say. I know some people (not naming any names) that blag everything and anything they can, from wheels and hi value stuff, to cheap ancillaries. this sort of person really takes the piss!.... me Ive spent about £2000 on my mini in about two years!!!

And its still a heap off shit!!! :(
