I like this kind of conversion. I'd really like to do something similar myself, with a highly unlikely vehicle.

I don't get cars like this. Its got as much to do with the original car as a Z-cars mini

Stoke-on-Trent. Duck.

Mate of mine always fancied doing something similar with an Impreza and Campervan, would've been interesting. (Campervan shell, Impreza chassis & running gear of course. Vice versa would be a bit lame).

Wonder if he ever got round to trying it...

would anyone have the measurement from the front of a skyline engine, to the front diff handy? Reckon you could get a clubby front to clear it?

ooooh, Just found a pic. I reckon with some serious work you would get one in one. Right, next project. skyline engined clubby estate.

i don;t reckon you'd get a 6pot skyline lump in there personally...me and kean keep on talking about an estate with an sr20 in it though, just a shame his shells too tidy to chop up.

the straight 6(2JZ) in my supra is around 3feet long, iirc the skyline(RB26) has the same bore but shorter stroke making the engine length roughly the same

He chopped 9" out of the nissan's floor and had a custom prop made.

If you're using the donor car's floor, then the bulkhead can come further into the mini and you can sit a bit further back, like the mig's etc with the bucket seats behind the cross member. Anything is possible....

I do like that, especialy when it looks kind of standard with big wheels rather than not even resembling the look of a moggy.

Think were all missing the point tho, this is a conversion.

I am not keen of these kinds of conversions. I mean it's just a Silvia under cover.
One can't really call it a Minor, can we ?

Maybe it's because I am towards engines rather than bodywork kind of guy ?

Bt obviously it is a challenge and one properly built car.

Noway you would get a skyline lump in a clubby front! Its tight in the S13 bay!

Got to admire the work but im not the biggest fan of what is essentially a well done cut and shut. Space frame or nothing *tongue*

I want to put a 7MGTE into a B2000 mini truck.

1st to provide proof of a running Bimmy Conversion!

Brisbane ,Australia

yeah i`ve watched this conversion from early on & i "REALLY" like what he`s done & how it`s going.

I`ve always been keen on a clean stock std looking split-window duel-cab Kombi ute,,, with maybe just a set of mags or wide stock looking rims & chrome hub-caps, , , but with full noise GTR 4x4 turbo skyline running gear under it *smiley*

make for a pretty good tow car for the race mini hey? *smiley*

straps like that should be just below the centre line of the wheels, the straps will slip over the top of the tires when fitted like that with somthing as small as a bump or pothole let alone a shunt, if fitted under the centre line the the straps cant slip or come off in a shunt

With my best multimedia skills:

Wolfie i disagree surely theyre correct how they are as the straps pulled tight, if you fitted like you say they would slip
off after
