hi i have been offered a kent 296 cam for standard metro turbo ..

no it wont, at 106 LCA its too tight for a turbo,[too much overlap] you need a can somewhere near the 109/ 110 degs LCA |

that wont be great for a turbo build, better with a kent 266 or nat asp mg metro cam, or the avonbar phase 2 is popular with a few on here On 23rd Oct, 2009 sim_ou_nao said:

with blowers you can get away with it a bit more as the air is being generated due to crank rpm rather than exhaust flow.

If the 1380 in my car isn't quick enough when its in, then I'm going to lob a gt1752 and 285 scatter cam at that engine and see what happens.
