Hi guys.

I want to build a air box for my bike carbs rather than chocking them with sock filter. I need advice on sizes where to feed the cold air pipe on to the box for correct flows and volumes
here's a pic of the carbs on the engine for an idea of space.

other option would be a IGT filter on a base plate but I don't know how good these are for bike carbs

thanks

An airbox needs to be atleast 1.5 times the size of your engine eg for a 1000cc = 1500cc but the bigger the better.

Near Paris - France

That means the standart box is too small, doesn't it ?

What about the ratio, is it inside the air filter or all in all, 1,5 times the capacity ?

Rusty by nature

my current thinking is lenght of ally pipe welded up both ends. two pipes connecting to the carbs and a feed in one end with a filter at the front with a pipe connecting. not sure how it will all fit.
