quicky whats the dial on the back of my gunsons timing gun for?

as the title, i boutght my strobe timing light 2nd hand, its a gunsons one with a dial on the back, whats the dial for?????

can you explain how to use it, i've only ever used the basic timing strobe!

it's for advancing the flash to test timing at higher revs etc.

for standard timing just set it to 0.

google the model number, the manual is available as a PDF

Set the dial to the required angle before TDC, then alter your timing until the strobe shows TDC. It is now set at the angle BTDC that you require

i still dont understand how to use it but it takes a while for thins to click with me but then the brains works for a bit then i forget again bt bare with me!

The instructions are on the link you posted. Just under the Practical Classics logo on the right hand side.

It is indeed mine. It doesn't have the cross spokes on it anymore though, as I now have ronals on.
