Wondering if any of you guys or girls use electric heaters so you dont have to run any plumbing off the engine for the standard mini heater? i ordered one from demon tweeks but then got told the supplier has stopped supplying them and now im struggling to find one wondered if any of you guys can help

not worth it, yo wont get much heat out.

for 2kw ()about the same as a mains fan heater) you'd need about 150 amps.

From what I know the CBS heaters work fine, no worse than the mini heater on the screen anyway. They won't heat the car though.

I have had one of those electric 'demist' heaters in the distant past. It didn't demist the screen, and the heat output was laughable. A waste of 22 hard earned back in the day when I didn't earn much.

So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...

If you just want to demist the screen how about a heated screen?

I was just thinking that myself. However having bought the one Neil8p was selling recently I didn't want to rub it in, LOL.

I was under the impression there are some around made in the same way as modern cars, so just fine wires.

The one I have got is just the same as the one in our gerties 2001 Fiesta.

The bit that joins the elements together will hide underneath the screen rubber.

a mate of mine spent £80 on an electric heater from SVC that was supposed to clear screens on vehicles up to the size of a transit van
my mate had a hillamn imp

suffice to say he sent it back for a refund!!
most dont seem to be much cop from my experiance

put a wooley hat & gloves on & drive with the windows down for a while
i'm a bit old fashioned though & i cycle in any weather!

SKYLINES ARE LIKE CLITS, EVERY FLANGE SEEMS TO HAVE ONE: see this sticker on my silvia

the Search-section on this forum is blummin superb & simple to use, unlike some other forums, without the search-section & the help of this bunch of chaps on here i'll never be able to !!!Start the day with a 998cc turbo!!! :) i'm getting closer though!

I have a heated front screen.... it was good but over this winter it got worse and finally packed in this jan, it was just over a year old so couldnt send it back. Will be having a look at it when it gets warmer but it looks like the strip at the bottom of the screen has given up.

I got mine second hand but not used from Neil8p, who had bought it new from a show.

However pop "heated windscreen" into Google, and a couple of suppliers come up.
