Hi Peeps,

MK1 doors with sliding windows, need some info on replacing the sliding rubber at the bottom of the glass.

How to take it out? Refitment? Will a hayne's manual cover this topic?

Thanks

Ben

P.s. pelase reply asap.

Inside the bottom channel there are some screws that will be so rusted they will need drilling out!

You need to look carefully, but they are there.

Remove those and the chrome strip, lower seal and glass comes out in one go.
Simple job once you found all the hidden screws.

*happy* All done *happy*

Only one screw was need to be drilled. Was suprisingly easy to do, under the chrome strips it was in good nick, rubbed it down and painted them. Might aswell stop them rusting as much!

Is it worth checking the gutters under the chrome strips? And the pipe that drains it from the top to the bottom of the door?

Cheers for the info Gibbo.
