hi all , im new to the site, i am currently running around in a stage 1 998 engined car , but am craving more power , so (originally due to insurance, but now for fun) im building a revvy 1014 cooper motor , im planning to run it on megajolt ignition, but am a bit stuck on where is best in the uk to buy it from ? ive searched lots of old threads but many of the links seem inactive now , so im wondering where you guys reccomend ? obviously im also after a trigger wheel and maybe sensor bracket aswell .

thanks in advance

King Gaycharger, butt plug dealer, Sheldon Cooper and a BAC but generally a niceish fella if you dont mind a northerner

Rotherham, South Yorkshire

Tom Fenton can have a pulley machined with 36-1 teeth. He also supplies some very nice CPS brackets.

autosport labs in the US are your best bet for Megajolt equipment

I know you can buy the fully built ECU's from www.triggerwheels.com

I think a chap on this site builds and sells them too

Welcome to TM, as above Tom Fenton for trigger wheel and sensor bracket
buying in kit form (and building it yourself )from the us is cheapest, but alexf on here does built + tested units in the uk, his site:

cool thanks guys , appreciate that , im going to get my pulley over to tom fenton asap so thats that sorted :)

was looking at triggerwheels.co.uk for the megajolt unit , but if its cheapest to buy direct from usa than i might wel do that , also its been suggested i run a megasquirt system for ignition only , that way if i want to go snail powered later on i have the ecu to do the job , im guessing autosportlabs, or triggerwheels will be best for magasquirt aswell ?

thanks for your help

Although the names are similar they are two different beasts.

Triggerwheels claim to be Agents for Megasquirt but, TBH, I'd buy Megasquirt from either DIYautotune or Glens Garage - both USA.

That's what a lot of us using Megasquirt have done anyway.

Never used Glens garage, but his prices are good and he seems to have good stock.

Or this place in the UK,

He is on the approved vendor list and seems OK. Be ware of buying from the US. It looks cheap, but add postage and then tax, etc and there is very little in it.

ok cool thanks for your help guys , think i might just go with the megajolt for now as the budget isnt massive at the minute (im building up a new front subbie with decent brakes and stuff on aswell so it can handle the extra power :) tom fenton hasnt replied to my email about the machining , and it was pointed out that doing it this way puts the trigger wheel rubber mounted , has anyone had any problems with this at all ? im thinkig the alternative will be to fix it to the solid edge of the pulley , has anyone done this already and if so what size trigger wheel did you use please ?
thanks again
