well i was looing for a daily when i found this and thought why not at the price, it was just too cheap, the owner didnt really know what to do with it as he'd got it for his son's first car but then it was too much to insure....lol

He said it needed a CV but that was what he was told, and he never even drove it futher than down the road as it came from a neighbour of his, so was unable to know what the noise was for sure?

so, when i drove it i couldnt hear a thing but il got the wheels of etc, and have a look before it gets on the road, he even gave me the CV that he's bought new,lol

either way its not a major isssue that acnt be sorted in an hour or 2,

over all condition is very good, other than a little scaby bit on the front door at the bottom,a bit on the rear 1/4 where some one has tried to sort a bit of laquer peel,and the passenger door has a few little ding's in it, nothing that i cant do my self really,

Now, what do i do with it?
i've already been offered a 205 gti(1.6),a mint mini auto, and maybe a p/x on a 106 gti,lol
really all i was after was a cheap little run about and iv'e ended up with a soon to be sought after retro car,
after looking at it i kinda like the green and i did think of black but with only 2 owner's and 58k its a far too 'good' to mess about with i think,
so maybe il do all the body work and make it as mint and standard as poss,
or make a replica of my truck,turbo, grey etc...?

Any idea's?????

because that is uber gay,
and i still need it for a daily.....lol
nothing wrong with 6r4's just i dont have a spare £10,000 to convert it.

Drop a D16 turbo lump in it and turn it into a drag car!

nope 165 10's are vertualy the same rolling radius as 175 50 13's

what FD would an MG motort have?
i think il just keep it and do the body work as i go along then end up at a repaint, my metro turbo needs a new shell...

A combination of these two is what I would do. It looks great as it is so I would just fix the current rusty bits. I love those big MG stickers.

ps ,just let the gas out and have the bumpers draging on the floor

i think a full paint will be on the cards,
it wont take alot to get it mint really,
need to find a place that makes the stickers,
also ive only just noticed that its one of the last one's as its not got a fuel filler flap , just a horrid looking cap....

no flap is a good thing...

the early one used to piss fuel out.

final drive is 3.44, all metros where except turbo.

Looks OK, sort the rust and a repaint and it will be right. short of adding a turbo kit and making it faster not much to do to it.

maybe put a k1100 engine in it. don't think I've seen one in a metro before.

i'd certainly keep it - metros are certainly getting harder to find in any condition

the rust dosen't look that bad, just whack a ton of filler over it.
