Going from memory it is the wiring to the wiper motor that goes faulty. The alarm is only going as it senses a voltage drop. I do a bit of autolocksmithing and remember reading a post about this on one of our forums. I will try and find it again and let you know the results |

completely agree with that ! .. pop the skuttle panel up and have a noesy for water ingress, it usually enters the pollen filter and into teh car but you may be having issues with ingress to the wiper motor :) or some wiring / relay downstream of the pollen filter. turbo 16v k-series 11.9@118.9 :)
