Hi all

'56 plate TDCI Focus Zetec.

The alarm is playing up and its linked to the wipers. Car switched off with the wipers correctly parked, car locked and alarmed. Time before the alarm goes off varies, between 30 sec and 20 minutes. Suddenly the interior light will come on, and the wipers will move about 1/4 of there travel up the screen. And then the alarm goes off, and it has all night! *angry*

Any ideas?

Going from memory it is the wiring to the wiper motor that goes faulty. The alarm is only going as it senses a voltage drop. I do a bit of autolocksmithing and remember reading a post about this on one of our forums. I will try and find it again and let you know the results

That makes sense.

Wiper was playing around a couple of weeks ago... Not switching off when I washed the screen.

If you can find it, it would be great.

completely agree with that ! .. pop the skuttle panel up and have a noesy for water ingress, it usually enters the pollen filter and into teh car but you may be having issues with ingress to the wiper motor :) or some wiring / relay downstream of the pollen filter.
