I'm trying to build a circuit that will once activated will cut the power to the fuel injectors, it needs to be done sequentially with approximately 60 seconds between each injector being shut off and the power will remain off until the reset button is hit.

My electronics knowledge is slowly dying, but my thought was the first injector is killed by what ever is activating the shutdown via a simple control circuit, and also kicking off a timer at the same time. After 60 seconds this timer and its associated control circuit shuts down the next injector and also starts the next timer circuit, and so on. Basically a cascade of timers shutting down the injectors. There is probably something simpler, and all within one chip, but this principle would work.

forget 555 timers for a long period of time, they are not made for that. Try using a simple pic controller, then you can make exactly what you want. http://www.twin-turbo.co.uk

Thanx chaps - the only reason I was concidering 555 timers was that's what I'm used to using.
