Did you know that Nitro-Methane can make 2.3 times the power of petrol?

yes this is bad stuff. been around the pits at drag racing, and a small amount of this stuff went into a tread or a bolt hole, when the bolt was put in the tightend up BAND it went braking the block and really herting the guy that was doing it. all this from the smallest of amounts, it's not to be palyed around with lol. good idea though paul. One that i dimisted years ago lol. Best 1/4 mile 13.2 seconds @116 mph

how much is it? i once heard of a turbo 998cc running on 90% methanol at 25 psi or something silly, the engine seized and the piston's melted in the bores, but whilst it was running it went really well, lol, that was about 6 years ago now i guess, methanol injection is AMASING. turbo 16v k-series 11.9@118.9 :)

That's true, you can get fuel for model cars with up to 30% Nitro-Methane over the counter at model shops.

Just out of interest, would aviation fuel offer any benefits over 98 ron petrol or not? For example the stuff used in light aircraft. Edited by minimole23 on 8th Mar, 2010. On 7th Oct, 2010 5haneJ said:

We had some avgas left over that we needed to get rid of, so we chucked it in me old mans micra (waste I know) but it went like fuck...normally run on the cheapy tesco's stuff tho so probs not suprising it made a difference.
