Mitsi Evo 7, 911, Cossie. & all the chavs ...... won no problem

I have a set of old innocentie conrods the ones with the small beam across
Without wading through all my parts which I have stored,
which would take me days to sort
Question is guys ? ??. are these rods stronger, better, than the ?A? Plus rods ?
& are the turbo rods the same as N/A ?A?Plus motors rods?

*smiley*

As far as I know, the A plus turbo rods are the same as the rest of the A plus N/A rods, as you say.
Off the top of my head I seem to remember that the innocenti rods are quite a good strong rod, if a little heavy. I know David Vizard covers them in detail in the 'Yellow Bible'

A+ rods Turbo and non Turbo are the same.
The Innocenti rods will be for the pre A+ crank though, so will be be for a different sized journal i think ? If your using an A+ crank you'll have to use the A+ rods.

Innocenti rods are made of a very hi spec steel, EN19 i believe. The big end journal is the same as an A plus, it is only the genuine Coooer S cranks/rods that have a smaller diameter.

The A plus rod is more than capable of A series big power outputs,it is a hell of alot lighter than the Innocenti rod too.

Use the A plus rod IMO.

i think A+ rods are EN16 If my memory serves me correctly. I wouldn't say EN19 is that special. I dont see a problem with the A+ items in forced induction motors as you just dont rev them to the extent you have to a high output NA engine. Its the revs that is the real killer of rods.
