Its been fully restored as an on going project over the last million years or so

Its got no rot etc, built up as a cushy daily so added a few refinements etc, taxed till the end of april.

Body: Std, factory full length electric sunroof (fully working and water tight), recent respray, brand new bonnet with soundproofing kit, all new window rubbers, stainless wipers etc, fitted a nice rubber trim between arches (std, brand new) and body to stop them chattering through the paint, put extra soundproofing on bulkhead, 'stainless' bumpers, halogen headlights & stainless 100w spotlamps, cooper stainless wide slat grill, internal bonnet release.

Engine/gearbox: std, 40K, with stage 1ish kit (i.e K&N & a full s/s exhaust, inc Specialist Components s/s LCB), its the nicest sounding mini ive heard tbh, throaty but not loud. An ultimate head steady, poly dogbone bushes, Alloy rocker cover with t-bars, T handle dip stick. Good compression (160 - 170psi) on all 4 pots. Oil pressure excellent, 70+ when cold, 55psi when hot. I have fitted that gearbox linkage seal kit to stop it dripping. Since we have had it we have used Millers mini specific oil.

Suspension/brakes: Again, largely std, rover alloy wheels with A539's on (2 have loads of tread, 2 are beginning to show signs of wear and will need replacing soon) std shocks/ride height, new rear trailing arm bushes/bearings, brake lines and flexi hoses, new donuts, rebuilt std 8.4 caliper with s/s pistons, new pads/discs/wheel bearings/top&bottom bj's etc about 1000 miles ago. Running silicone fluid.
Subframes are both in excellent condition and rustproofed to the max

Interior: Again mostly std. Full rover walnut dash with magnolia dials, plus magnolia smiths oil pressure, ammeter and volts. Door handles, winders, gear knob, handbrake all genuine rover walnut too. Std seats. Brand new deluxe carpet

ICE: Sony headunit with ipod compatibility
3000w Amp installed in boot
2 x 1500w 6x9's (loud!) in walnut effect board under read seats

Bad points (that i will probably get sorted before shifting it on, if worth it):

Someone got a bit close whilst parking, and the rear numberplate light has been pushed back into the boot a little, paint hasnt cracked so never bothered sorting it.

Last TT week someones bike handlebars got lent against the drivers door leaving a small dimple about the size of a 2p piece, again, paint hasnt cracked so lived with it til now.

There is a bit of overspray on the back of the front seats where the guy who first resprayed it (BAC) didnt mask properly. This isnt noticable unless you look for it, can only really be seen if your in the back seat.

The walnut dash has the usual lacquer issue with the bottom edge beginning to go misty and flake a little

Small oil drip from the o/s cv, im being really critical here though, as in i left it for 6 weeks since xmas and there was a oil stain about 2" round under it

It has a cherished plate that ill be keeping.

All in all a really nice little car, but I just dont use it, need the space in the garage, as its just sitting there gathering dust

And looking to live out in Tenerife for 6 months of the year working at a boat/diving centre, so need to free up so cash (my little fishing boat is having to go too, and maybe the transit, end of an era!)

So hit me with what you think it might be worth!

Cheers

Joe

imo they were the best model ever produced, but i guess i am biased

my old man suggested i just use and abuse as is, as no matter how much it costs to restore in 10/15 years, it will still probably make a fair profit

ill sell the boat first and see how much i get for that before making any drastic decisions

well its gone, and im a bit gutted to see her go, got a decent price though (settled for £3200)

the lad who has bought it seems to love it as much as me though, and has promised not to go down the roll cage/bucket seats/bodykit route with it, which im happy about

oh well, one less thing to worry about and i can pay off my overdraft!
