As per my thread in General Chat, I have oodles of bits as I horded it all in anticipation of converting my J reg Cooper to turbo power, got bored and bought a Skyline instead *blush*

LOL! Well, my loss is your gain so here's what I'm doing...

I could sell it all as a job lot (will come to that shortly), stick it all on ebay, or sell every bit individually. Hmmm....ebay is too much faffin about for my liking. Selling it all individually is a ballache. So, I've grouped particular bits together to make up little packages. Here we go...
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

*****Package 1*****
- Metro Turbo engine & gearbox, still on front subframe. Engine was taken from a rotten Metro Turbo shell, I have the DVLA registration docs etc. Engine ran fine and dandy when car was parked up (but I haven't run the engine myself). Car stood for 6 months, then I came along with a big angle grinder and performed surgery to remove just about everything from the car. Engine has been partially stripped (still have all the parts though) of manifolds, turbo, rocker cover etc. The engine managed to topple the engine crane it was on (my trying to wheel it over uneven paving slabs - *d'oh!*) - which smashed the dizzy cap and the carb. Have acquired replacement carb and dizzy but not fitted. No other damage to engine and crank turns fine with everything moving smoothly as it should do. Also includes original T3 turbo. No play in shaft, no visible oil leaks (like a divvy I threw the turbo elbow away as I left it attached to the old exhaust!). Plus ECU, wiring loom (looks like a big ball of wires and plastic to me and the idea of trying to sort it out scares the crap outta me!).
- Exhaust gasket (new & unused)
- OE fuel pump
- OE fuel pressure regulator
- OE oil cooler
- OE plenum
- All other OE engine bits
*****?350***** Collection only (see end of message for location)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

*****Package 2*****
- Mirage manifold set for T2 turbo (costing ?350 new) - still brand new and unused - the turbo mounting flange on the elbow will need one hole to be redrilled/enlarged as Mirage got it slightly out of position. They have offered to do it for nowt but I never got round to sending it back... not a big job though... This is a GREAT bit of kit - excellent quality!

- Adjustable top engine steady - cost ?26 new (to lean the engine forward a couple of degrees, so that the T2 turbo has clearance on the bulkhead)

- 3 T2 turbos in various states of repair (1 in pieces, 1 with cracks in casting but good internals, 1 with solid castings but graunches a little when spun - I think there are enough good bits between them to build a single good turbo, but would recommend getting this done, and possibly dynamically balanced, by a turbo expert before use just to be safe). Includes actuators.

- Full polyeurathene solid bush set for front subframe
*****?350 +P&P (if needed)*****

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

*****Package 3*****
- Fuel filter

- 3 meters or so of reinforced fuel line plus a bundle of fuel line clips

- T piece for fuel return
*****?25 +P&P (if needed but shouldn't be much as this lot weighs feck all)*****

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

*****Package 4*****
- Brand new Le Mans dump valve (anodised blue)

- Kevlar diaphragm for the above dump valve

- Used RS turbo intercooler
*****?30 (+P&P if needed)*****

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Items being sold individually:

- Spare Metro turbo gearbox - ?120 (prefer collection but I suppose I could break my back taking it to the P.O. to get a quote for P&P if REALLY needed!)

- Used Renault 5 GT Turbo oil cooler - ?10 (+P&P)

- Reconditioned 2CV ignition coil - ?25 (+P&P) (This has TWO output terminals (as opposed to the usual one terminal) which means that if you have a twin-pipe exhaust and fancy being naughty and having a few flames, you only need a simple switchable power feed to this coil and you can use it to fire two spark plugs (one in each exhaust) without the need for any kind of distributor.)

- 2-core copper performance radiator from Minisport - brand new, never ever used! - ?50 (+P&P)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

I hope the way I've done it kinda makes sense to most people...

Now, if you're sad enough to get your calculator out, you'll notice that that little lot totals up to ?960. Obviously, I've had a fair few e-mails asking after various bits already. Rather than splitting it and some bits going straight away and being left with other bits for ages, I've decided to firstly offer the job lot - EVERYTHING - at a discounted ?800 (collection only, obviously!). I will hold this option open for 1 week (i.e. until Thursday 27th January) - the first person to PM me saying they want the job lot for the discounted ?800 will get exactly that - the lot! During that time I will also be taking PMs from anyone who wants to bagsie any particular 'package' bundle (I won't be splitting the 'packages' - sorry!). First come first served on the individual packages. If no-one buys the job lot by tea-time on Thursday 27th January then whoever's bagsied any packages will get whatever they've bagsied.

As anyone with a basic grasp of maths can figure, it's well worth considering buying the job lot if you want a few bits from this lot, and then selling the rest on yourself (if you can be bothered and aren't as lazy a bugger as me!). I'm pretty sure that anyone doing this will more than make back the extra they've paid for its they didn't really need, making the bits they kept a real bargain!

Location? I'm based in Horwich, Bolton (North West of England, about 20 minutes NW of Manchester). 5 minutes off Junction 6 of the M61. I only get to go on here in the evening so please forgive any delays in answering PMs or questions on-thread :)

Remember guys - everything by PM please and, of course, all on a first come first served basis.

Ooh - nearly forgot - if I get enough PMs 'bagsying' packages so that all the packages are bagsied then I'll end the 'job-lot' ?800 offer (as I'll have buyers for everything then so no point holding on for a single job-lot buyer).

Hmmm.....have been trying to reply to PMs but there seems to be a problem :( I can access the PM, click the reply button and draft my reply, but when I hit POST it just sits there with a very slow progress bar on the bottom of the IE window, but never actually gets anywhere?!?!

Anyway.... sorry to all those who've PM'd me and I've not managed to get back in touch. We have a buyer for the joblot so, unfortunately, the individual packages won't be available :(

Thanks for all the interest though!! :)

Congrats to the buyer! I was really looking forward to a package #2, though... :(

Does this mean the stuff not in the packages is still for sale or is everything gone in the job lot?

"It's all gone Dave. Yes. It's all gone, Dave. They've all gone. It's all gone, Dave. Gordon Bennet, yes, all of it - it's all gone, Dave. It's all gone, Dave. It's all gone. It's all gone, Dave."

"Wait, are you tryin to tell me it's all gone?"

"....wish I'd never advertised it all in the first place...."

Well, Dave and his mates collected all the turbo bits today. Was kinda sad to see 'em go as it's finally sunk in that I'm not gonna have a turbo Mini :( My old J reg Cooper was in the garage and hasn't been used for over 6 months now, so we pushed it out of the garage but then had to face pushing in back in afterwards, up the steep entrance ramp. Just for the sake of it, I tried to start her....after a few wheezes and a little turning over it started!! Bloody hell! Parked up for over 6 months and it starts!! Amazing... *tongue*

Good luck to Dave and the lads with the turbo conversion. Like I said, stay in touch as I'd love to see it up and running (finally - even if it isn't in my own car!).
