Brake bias valve

I was fitting my final brake pipe yesterday and it turns out one of the threads in the bias valve has given up.
I was going to buy a new one until i saw they are £130 on ebay!
The valve works fine so im thinking about fitting a thread insert, helicoil etc.
Does anyone know the thread size and pitch?

you probably already know, but be carefull drilling out the existing threads, if its a compression fitting where the cone seats on a taper (im guessing thats the sort you have?) theen you musnt damage the seat otherwise it might not seal

Thats right il have to watch out for the seat.
I think the size is 3/8 X 24 UNF, well i hope so.

im sure it will be one of either 7/16 unf or 3/8 unf, dont think there are many other threads on the braking system?

NPT threads are also common on willwood/other american stuff.... Crap if you ask me, but that's how it is.

if you get stuck i've got one i was about to ebay.
