Well im fitting megajolt to my engine but my plan was to do it as cheaply as possible, so far its under £100 and i think iv got everything, so im pretty happy with that.

Anyways iv been having a play making up my trigger wheel and pickup bracket today.

First up i made a sensor bracket, i did this first as i will be mounting the trigger wheel to the standard bottom pulley, so i will be able to mount the missing tooth anywhere, so for me finding a nice place to mount the sensor seemed like a better idea.

Once in place i marked up where the sensor would meet the bottom pulley, i then removed it worked out 90* and fitted the missing tooth in this position, then welded it in place.

Heres some pics, its not the prety but should hopefully work...

Now before i fit it in the car has anyone got and comments on anything i should change, or does it look ok to use like it is?

Before anyone says, the bottom pulley is already booked in to be balanced.

Had any thoughts on changing the alternator belt with the engine in the car?

Is it A-Series only? I think it should be...
So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...

Yes i did think about that, at first it wasnt possible but i slightly trimmed the bottom mount so the belt could get through where the trigger wheel is larger and its not much different from standard now apart from having to remove the sensor.

BTW this was done after i took the pics... i just made the gap round larger between the trigger wheel and mount.

Yep straight from America.

I already had the EDIS stuff from a car i broke up a while back, then it was £10 for the trigger wheel.

looks great, the ONLY slight criticism would be....grind a little more away from the engine/rad mount around the bottom of the trigger wheel to make changing the fan belt easier

Also if the Fan belt gets a bit of wip in it. That trigger wheel looks like a chain saw.
