I bet my first wank came quicker than your first mini turbo These new modern turbos with their quick spool up time, would make the competition harder. On 15th Aug, 2011 robert said:

Certainly the most simple I've seen, I like that.
Minivanless, but reluctantly happy living with the decision. There'll be another one day.

Certainly the most simple I've seen, I like that. And presumably once you've done all the setting up to optimise the gaps and angles then welded the trigger wheel into it's final position, why bother with any adjustment on the sensor. Yep, good job. Presume the snsor bolt goes into a milled flat rather than on the cylindrical surface ? Richard. Thank you. I like simple, less to go wrong. Setting up was basically find TDC, count the teeth round from the sensor, mark the pulley and trigger wheel and fix. If it was a couple of degrees out (it wasn't) you can correct it in the software. The only adjustment available is the height of the sensor above the wheel, it just clears with a couple of small washers. When I made the post I had no milling facilities, so the flat was formed with a bit of careful filing. If I was doing it again then yes it would be milled. Cheers Rich |
