Looks OK, AEM kit can be had for less though.

I use an innovate one but I'm sure I paid less than that. I think it was about £140 brand new on ebay complete with gauge.

I did most of the EFi testing with Innovate kit. The problem was that it was not robust enough.

The box that picked up Map and Rpm detroyed itself, the LM-1 stopped communicating due to a poor serial socket and last week the LC-1 was playing up.

I think that the Innovate kit is technically good, particularly the capability of stringing all the components together into a daisy chain for datalogging on a Laptop. I also like the option to recalibrate the O2 sensor every now and again.

However, last week I bought another AEM gauge of Ebay in the states for £135. I'm waiting for the VAT bill which will add another £30 or so.

If you just want an AFR gauge and a 0-5v feed for an ECU then AEM is cheapest. If you want something a bit cleverer then use Innovate.

Just my opinion of course.

There are other options as well.

You can buy the AEM from UK sources, with no worries about taxes etc, for under £160 anyway.

Bit pointless buying from the US when prices here are that low

Try here,

or definately here ( although I see its went up to a little over £160 now )

Not a proper member, just to try and keep up with whats going on and find out where to get it serviced as the cocks at mitsi couldnt even fill it with oil properly.

Thanks for the comments guys, gives me somthing to think about, it seams like the aem one is to look closely at.

Right this is one of those dumb questions but what can i do or what will it do

*User-programmable 0-5v analog output included for use with data loggers and virtually any engine management system

Can it be connected to the jolt and what will it do for me.

the jolt has a sensor input, you can connect the gauge to this and then datalog it alon with th things that the jolt normally looks at or outputs... rpm, boost, advance.

I just bought two AEM AFR gauges from a place in Latvia on ebay today.

He gave me a small discount and I managed to get them both for 300 quid.

Rick.

I run the AEM UEGO AFR and am well impressed with it. Bought it from Funky Products way back in '06.

Real easy to install. The AEM kit has a tailored resistor built in to the connector lead which is about 4 ft long - certainly enough for the downpipe on the Mini to the dash.

The only thing I didnt like was the bezel which I took off and replaced with one from a Smiths gauge so that it went with the rest of the gauges in the van.

The 0-5v gauge output connects directly into my O2 input to my MS which allows me to log and use for EFi if I finally go that direction. I'm ignition only at mo but the WB has paid dividends nonetheless.

On Stuart Gurrs V Max RR last July, the AEM was reading about 0.5 too rich in the van through the range compared with his sensor which is worth considering for the gauge you decide to get. However, as long as you know this, you can easily compensate.

Richard.

Minivanless, but reluctantly happy living with the decision. There'll be another one day.

No rush tom, im just about to order a water pump from states and carnt wait for that.

Ive just been looking into them and wanderd how many people use them .Id usually just have the car rolling roaded and that would be it, supose with this and the jolt i could mess myself.
