Since joining TM I have had lots of help and practical advice but the latest episode has been a real team effort and I am so pleased to be a part of such a great group of enthusiasts.

I decided to go Megajolt and had lots of problems, mostly due to my own ineptitude and lack of knowledge but the forum rallied round and I now have a Megajolt system that works.

Special thanks to Nic, Rod S and Matty for their patience and generous attitude towards me when it must have seemed to them that I was (am!) a complete numpty with electronics.

Brilliant, it seams the tm lads have done it again.

Glad everyone gets the credit they deserve, its abrilliant place to be.

I can go days without posting, somtimes cos the questions have allready been answered and others i just dont have the correct info to give but im allways here reading peoples problems and theres allways somone to help out.

Good job Dave.

Had the same effect on me when I was setting up the wasted spark on my Squirt. Nearly gave up but well pleased all the advice paid off.

Once you get to grips with the laptop and the mapping of individual load sites, you'll be amazed at the flexibility and feedback it'll give you. A real bonus.

Presume once you've had a go at Comms, you'll be back to the RR armed with your laptop ?

Yes, the laptop and MJ are now talking to each other and playing nicely together and yes, once the set up has been tweaked its back to the RR to see the effect on the figures.

Firing on all cylinders now then...quite literally!

Once you've got the engine running and the display on your laptop showing whats going on, all will become clear.

You'll be adding extra outputs before you know it. *wink*

Extra out puts ?.

Can I use one to operate a stepper motor or solenoid to operate the wastegate at a pre-determined pressure, rather than a pressure hose to a diaphragm in an actuator ?.

No, they are controlled by rev's. They are used as earths.

For example you could have a red LED in your dash earthed to one of the extra outputs. Then you use the MJ software to configure that output to work from 6000 revs. Then when you rev to 6000 rev's you get a red light reminding you to change gear.

I'll be using one for the fuel pump and maybe some of the others for shift lights etc

as Phil says the can be done by load,

there are 4 outputs, they can be triggered by load, rpm, or by the auxilery input.

so for example, you could use one to trigger water inj, one to trigger a cooling fan (assuming you have temp as the auxilery input) one to control an external rev limiter, and one for a fuel pump so it turns off below, say 100 rpm.
