It came of a e reg turbo but as wolfie said it never run right,
the casting is smooth under the thermostat and has double springs oh and 8 stem seals???
maybe someone changed the valves and stems

Please help with my mystery Brian *tired*

What size are the exhaust valve guides? I take it they are 7mm to match the valves?
Seems unlikely someone would go to the bother of putting all different valves and guides into a turbo head that were obviously wrong so I would guess its a NA head that someone who didn't know any different has bolted onto a turbo?

No what I meant was, if it has got fitted all 7mm valves at the moment, has it got the correct 7mm exhaust guides for the valves, or has it got 8mm exhaust guides that would indicate it is a turbo head?

Casting numbers mean nothing to me but might to some other people on here?
