The main problem is being able to bend the tube yourself. Most of the cheap pipe benders will not bend rollcage tube instead they tend to fold it and crimp it.

you need t45 ideally, it's going to cost you over 500 quid in metal fo a full cage, how far you want to go?

im paranoid about a head on smash and being a permanent part of my turbo motor, what about bracing the front bulkhead with a tubing set up, using straight peices and adding triange shapes ect for strengh.. |

I'd be quite careful about what you do here. Those nice straight pieces to add strength could quite easily become a spear if you get them in the wrong place and have a heavy shunt........

If you want my advice i'd go and spend some money on a MSA approved kit from the likes of safety devices etc. Remember when you crash in a car with a cage, it's charecteristics change and a lot of the forces can be directed through the cage. You need a cage that can take this. |

I did not do myself, but I did help. The cage kit came from fabricage, this was basicly everything bent, which wasn't a lot, I got Owens Fabriation www.owensfabrication.com to put the cage in, I helped, by making coffee ect, On 15th May, 2009 TurboDave said:
