Well we spent a weekend on the rollers trashing the life out of this little 1400 and we are very happy with the results:

Spec of the motor is:
1400cc bottom end
Custom HRE cam with a duration of 286 deg
Fast road stage 3 head with 35mm inlet valves and 29mm exhaust
1.5:1 roller rockers
11.5:1 compression ratio
Pump Gas (no additive)
twin DCOE 45's
Mega Jolt
2" Maniflow Exhaust system

We put the engine in one of our top race cars and I can only say the thing is ballistic the motor will happily pull full throttle from 2.5k rpm and pulls like a train from there on.

I will have some in car Footage from this weekends testing on Monday for all to enjoy,
Regards,
Paul.

I bet my first wank came quicker than your first mini turbo

These new modern turbos with their quick spool up time, would make the competition harder.

well done great results, just a question, would the torque increase if you change the exhaust to 1.75?

Looking good.
I don't know much about webbers but would 2 40's work well in this instance?

Thanks to All for the well wish,

Phil: We original had a 1.75 system on the but got better results over all with the 2".

Robert: Hi Robert The rolling road is a Maha Rolling Road,
The figures where at the crank.
The losses where 13.6% so it has circa 121hp at the wheels.

Sturgeo: 40's would work Equally as well but we will be going down the road of bigger cams and more head work during the year so the 45's where a bit of future proofing on my behalf.

ahh I see, I think I need to read the yellow bible and gen up on my n/a tuning. Wouldn't mind doing a lairy cam'd 1380 with a 45 for a weekend warrior but as I'll need to spend a fair wack on a cylinder head one of your 7 ports might be a better option and run it with 2 40's :)
