I recently finished my project off and got it fired up. I came to try and start it one morning and it turned over alot and then just suddenly locked up solid. I know this question is a bit vague but i just want to know if i'm looking at another engine rebuild. It has only been driven 15 miles! Never been abused. What do you guys think could be the problem? Ive never attempted to rebuld the engine so im not too clued up.

any help will be appreciated!

Cheers

Is it locked up or is that the starter cannot turn it?

if you remove the distributor there is nothing to keep the dizzy drive in position so it can jump up and twat the crank.

it will rattle about and can drop into the engine fouling the crank or potentially mincing the gearbox :(
