rich, the na ones can be converted to turbo carb there is some threads on it i did mine,

i had a look as carl has one. wasn't sure on how to machine a groove in the carb body for the seal though

maybe not, they need to be fairly sealed to work anyway, might aswell help it on its way though

am i correct in thinking if i have a hif44 .. to convert to turbo spec. buy a turbo hif44 service kit and job done? with a bit of instant gasket of course *wink*

i think all i needed was the needle and spring, the seals was the same

i actually had a cracked turbo carb and built it into the na carb, there are obvious bits the na carb doesnt have but these get blocked anyway ( ie part throttle lean off pipe)

and im 99% certain the passage way to pressurise the float chamber is not there for the na carb but serch T-piece trick and thats that sorted

Edit: i doo remember having to change the cam for the throttle cable as the na and turbo cable linkage are on different sides but im sure this is just a clearance on the inlet manifold problem rather than it must be changes for it to work problem ( if you get me *happy* )
