Working up the BHP ladder.

All...PLEASE remember to have the car secure before working under it. On Thursday my dear ol' man was Tinkering under his classic car when something went wrong. Fortunately i was about (first day off in 4 months) and managed to jack the car off him and get the services to him in time.

He has been in a trauma unit since with most of his ribs broken and a fractured breast bone.

Not really certain what happened yet but it was on axle stands. A shock reminder that we could all be more careful.

If his ribs are broken, don“t tell him jokes. Allso it will take a while before his well again.
I guess we all take chances once in a while. It might not allways be worth your health.
My best wishes for your dads recowery.
And thank you for giving us something to think about.

I hope he recovers quickly. I always leave the jack in place after putting it on axle stands, where possible, and if I have taken a wheel off I throw that under the car as well.

Its a reminder that we all need to be careful working on our cars. even when we think we have it covered.

Hope he makes a speedy recovery.

Nasty! *surprised*

I used to get under cars with just a jack loads, just goes to show it can happen even if you do take precations.
