i have changed 3 times gasket whithin 3 weeks. its really good when every time i just fit a new one, no leak. But after hard accelerate, the gasket on center exhaust port just blow off, and stat to leak. |

Take your manifolds off to check if the surfaces are flat. If not file them On 12th Nov, 2009 Paul S said:

Thats just a bodge to be honest. Are the inlet and exhaust flanges the same thickness? On 12th Nov, 2009 Paul S said:

What gasket are you using? Fastest 998 mini in the world? 13.05 1/4 mile 106mph

the normal one before.but last time i put a turbo gasket on it , there are metal ring on it.. but i found the gap at middle is too big ,so i scissor this part from normal gasket ,and fit with the turbo gasket..but now the middle part is blowd off, but the turbo gasket is still good

Well in my experience the turbo gaskets are unbustable (if that's a word).
Fastest 998 mini in the world? 13.05 1/4 mile 106mph

The Original turbo gasket was metal on both faces and until last summer was like hens teeth to find.

You want the one from minispares with the metal inserts on the exhaust ports! these give no problems with good head and manifold faces. Ron |
