Why the ridiculous use of capitals?

Re-write the question and someone may answer it

Saul Bellow - "A great deal of intelligence can be invested in ignorance when the need for illusion is deep."
Stephen Hawking - "The greatest enemy of knowledge is not ignorance, it is the illusion of knowledge."

yes you need to ream them out

do a search for 'ream' or 'reaming'

answers will be there as i asked the same question a few months ago

good luck

Germini, black forrest

They need to be reamed to the correct size, yes. To do it properly, you'll need a guided reamer (a tool with 'razors' that basicaly 'shaves' off a thin layer of material, until you have a perfect fit).

I've often seen people using a non guided reamer or using honing stones. But IMO you can't get the bush lined up to needle bearing doing it like this, at least not 100%.

Oh and you might want to check the grease tube supplied in the kit - many of them are either brittle or allready cracked when new... :/

Btw: to what tollerance are people on TM reaming the bushes? We decided to ream them with 'zero' tollerance/no play.

We had a brass bush to knock in on the needle bearing side as a guide for a extended adjustable reamer. Worked very well & quick enough :)
