Hi guys,

I'm planning to run an electric waterpump and delete the original mechanical pump.
I know some people use the original pump housing with the impellor removed, but I'd rather just run a plate with a hose outlet on.

I can get one made, but didn't know if they're available off the shelf anywhere?

I've had a search, but couldn't find anything...

Cheers

John

I used the SHEngineering plate on my car - spot on. The only issue I had was the diameter of the outlet was bigger than my front mounted rad, but easily resolved with a pipe reducer.

Very quick delivery, even after I had to send a cheque to pay for it.

What pump are you planning to use? I found a few good sources through the marine suppliers that seemed to be reasonably priced.

I bought mine secondhand through ebay after some clues from the Imp websites. On paper, you would probably be concerned at the flow rate, but it is a continuous flow (not engine speed dependent) and does an excellent job. The other thing I like is that I can come in off a stage, turn the engine off and leave the pump running to cool it down to a good starting point for the next stage.

I found a few links, but I think this is about the best price:

Thank a lot.
And no, i´m not concerned about the flowrate. The Bosch pump only flows 10-15 lpm and that should be enough.
Again, thanks.

Just in case you want more flow, the Meziere WP136S flows 78l/min
