MAP or TPS would you recommend for a standard 1296cc spitfire mk4 running on twin su's (again standard). Thinking MAP initially but feel free to put me right!

IMO, if you intend keeping the SU's, I'd go for MAP anyday - it's directly showing you what vacuum the engine is pulling and what load site to use for the ignition you need to run.
Minivanless, but reluctantly happy living with the decision. There'll be another one day.

Yes, it is only when you have wild cams and throttle bodies that MAP can't be used so effectively. Other than that MAP is the preferred option. http://www.twin-turbo.co.uk
