The haines book lies! It says turn the ignition of, press and hold the service indicator button until it flashes up service in xxxxx then press the trip counter reset button. This doesn't work on my car, it never flashes up service in xxxxx. Can't find an option in VAG-COM either.

The car is a late 53 plate A4 Tdi 130 SE.

Can anybody suggest anything else? It's not the end of the world, just an anoying beep when I start it up...

Thanks for the advice, I've done it now. I was expectig it to say 'Service in xxxxx' rather than just 'Service'
