1. Do you still need to pocket the pistons when running an 8v head with the standard cams?


2. Is there a timing belt cover available? And has anyone ever had any issues with stones getting caught in the belt etc?

Yep the pockets will still need machining.

There isn't a timing belt cover available. Ive never heard of anyone having any trouble with stones, but they way my luck is going i'll be the first! lol

doubt you will have problems with stones, loads of tuned cars run without covers to flash off nice cam gears lol
